'Far-left', not far-right extremism the 'biggest threat' to Australia today | Sky News Australia

'Far-left', not far-right extremism the 'biggest threat' to Australia today | Sky News Australia: Liberal Senator Alex Antic says media outlets, like the ABC, do not address the issue of "far-left" extremism in their reports - but constantly plug the narrative that far-right extremism is the "biggest threat" to Australia and the world today. "Extremism of all sorts should be of concern," Mr Antic said. "We talk a lot about Islamic extremism ... we talk now about far-right extremism. But there doesn't seem to be much talk about far left extremism - and so I am always interested by how this drift has occurred." Mr Antic said how the left are "very good" with their language and know how to "flip the dial" in the other side of politics to downplay the threat of far left extremism and create the narrative that far-right extremism is the biggest threat today. "The left are very good with their language and they're very good at flipping the dial on the other side of politics. "I'm not suggesting for a minute there aren't far right extremists and they're not out there, but I don't see that that as necessarily the preeminent threat at this stage."
